The Raspberry Pi Smart Display Module is an Intel® Smart Display Module (SDM) compatible adapter board designed for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5). It enables CM5 to be integrated directly into compatible professional displays and projectors without requiring an external media player, separate cabling or an additional power source.
Designed for professional digital signage, industrial displays, retail signage, wayfinding, flight information display systems (FIDS), corporate displays and embedded AV applications, the Smart Display Module combines Raspberry Pi computing with the convenience of the Intel SDM form factor.
Instead of using a conventional external digital signage player, the Raspberry Pi Smart Display Module allows the compute platform to be installed directly inside a compatible display. The module provides extensive connectivity including HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0 Type-A, Gigabit Ethernet, M.2 M-key PCIe, MIPI DSI/CSI-2, RTC battery connectivity and support for the Raspberry Pi Antenna Kit.
