You can incorporate the capabilities of Camera Module 3 into a wider variety of form factors by using the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 Sensor Assembly, which has the same sensor and autofocus functionality as the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 AF (autofocus). By adding imaging capabilities to smaller devices at a cheap cost, this arrangement shortens the time to market and simplifies manufacturing.
